Hello "blogosphere"
   My name is Gubaz Giorgadze, I am 18 years old, and currently an Undergrad student at the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. It is my second semester here at UB and I have still yet to declare my major, this is largely due to the fact that throughout my life no one thing ever stood out to me above the rest. I managed to be fairly decent at whatever I tried; weather it was various sports, arts, or subjects in school. I wasn't particularly great in anything but I've been getting by pretty well. But, the one thing I can proudly say I am an expert in is my culture.
   I come from a small country hidden around the Caucasus Mountains of Eastern Europe, a country unbeknownst to most: The Republic of Georgia. In my blog I will write for the people who have an interest in learning about different cultures around the world. I will talk about Georgia's very diverse traditions, foods, and ways of life.
   I've personally never blogged before, it was just never something i considered myself doing. i enjoy telling stories about myself to people, and i take pictures of most noteworthy events in my life so the memories can last forever. because of this i never really saw a reason to write down what happened during my day or what was on my mind. if something is bothering me or i feel the need to voice my opinion on something my family, friends, and girlfriend are always there to listen to me. but i am all for trying new things and am interested to see how this blog experience will turn out.
   The world is far from being a perfect place, there is many issues that educated people can debate over and still have difficulty coming to a consensus. i believe people are entitled to their own opinions and it is not my place to tell another individual what they should believe is right or wrong. but, one issue that i see to be a growing problem in our society and i know I'm right about is the level or respect that certain males show females. whether they be strangers or even two individuals on a date. in my country men boys are taught how to respect women from an early age. things such as: paying for the lady meal, undying loyalty to your lady whether she is a girlfriend or wife, and doing good deeds for a lady without automatically expecting something possibly sexual in return. these are simply rules in my country that all men follow, yet i see a lot less of here in New York.
   In the following weeks i plan to dive into the "blogosphere" and find other men's blogs who hold similar beliefs on this topic as i do. i hope to learn something that can help me move towards having a positive impact on my society.

With the rising popularity of social media, various platforms are being used to promote people's products and ideas. Now lets say you like someones post and would like to spread it to your audience, but want to properly credit the original poster; there are multiple ways to go about this, the simplest being pressing "share" on the original post, this will share the post to your followers all while redirecting them to the original poster. If you want to quote someone on social media you could do so similarly to how you would do so in any written work, provide the text in quotes and instead of putting their last name in parenthesis you can simply tag them @ using their name or post the URL to their page. One can evaluate their sources on social media based on if the person they are getting their information from is a verified expert in that field. What is social media hactivisim and doxing?  Provide some examples. Is this an ethical use of social media for social change? With the advancements being made in technology, there are advancements made in certain individuals' ability to hack said technology. But not all of the hackers have villainous intentions, certain groups such as Anonymous and Omega  use technology  to promote political agendas for social change. According to ITPRO,  Hacktivism is often controversial. While many decry the use of objectively illegal cyber attacks, no matter how noble the cause, many applaud vigilante hackers like Anonymous and others for taking the law into their own hands.
